Whether you're starting a book and don't know how, or you've written a draft and can't decide how much of your story to include, or if you're stuck in the messy middle and feel like nothing's working, Confidence & Craft is the ultimate programme to help you reach all your publishing goals.
This process is a time for you to claim your voice and learn how to write an excellent book. No two voices are the same, and they shouldn't try to be. There will always be aspects of writing that come easily to you and others that need attention: that's normal, and that's why we do this work.
The Blueprint (from Author Accelerator), is what sets this method apart from all the rest. It creates the core foundation that sets up your book for success, giving you complete clarity and mapping out your book in all key areas.
You’ll build out the entire structure of your book including how the chapters break down and what the Table of Contents looks like. Crucially, you’ll develop a crystal-clear outline so you can see the complete unfolding of your book on less than 10 pages.
You complete and revise the Blueprint over a series of 3 deadlines. You get margin comments, an editorial letter and a Video Call for each deadline. My feedback highlights your book’s strengths along with specific areas that need attention, and actionable next steps for you to take.

Many people start their nonfiction book by drafting chapters, but if you want a book deal you don't need a full draft: you need a book proposal.
This is where you get to create a detailed landscape of your book so that an agent understands how it's relevant, necessary and urgent to the marketplace.
You complete and revise the Book Proposal over a series of 3 deadlines. You get margin comments, an editorial letter and a Video Call for each deadline. My feedback highlights your book’s strengths along with specific areas that need attention, and actionable next steps for you to take.
This is where you develop your craft so that your writing voice sounds like you on the page and really shines. A lot of people worry if their writing is 'good enough' but what's important is whether your writing is clear; like any craft, good writing can be learned.
You draft and re-draft two chapters over 3 deadlines. You get margin comments, an Editorial Letter and a 1hr Video Call for each deadline. My feedback highlights your chapters' strengths along with specific areas that need attention and actionable next steps so you know exactly what to do to get your writing to the next level.

This is where we strategise your pitch, craft and edit the Query Letter, and start pitching. The Letter is effectively a sales letter that grabs an agent's attention so they are left wanting more. That's its singular purpose: to get you in the door.
You receive a Pitch Guide that shows you how to write a Query Letter. You draft and re-draft it over 3 deadlines. You get margin comments, an Editorial Letter and a 1hr Video Call for each deadline. My feedback highlights your Letter's strengths and specific areas that need attention, along with actionable next steps so you know exactly what to do.
I research and hand-select upto 40 prospective agents for you to pitch. I send you the Agent spreadsheet and you review the list.
We have a Strategy Call to discuss and agree your Pitch Strategy. You revise the Query Letter and once it's polished, you send it out.
Then you wait for a response and use this time to finish writing your book. (Coaching the Draft is available on request).
